It has become a bit of a Stillingfleet Lodge Garden tradition to host a sculpture exhibition in the garden in August and 2015 is no exception. This year we are welcoming for the first time the beautiful copper sculptures of David Adams and we are looking forward to their arrival next week.
Here is an idea of what you might see on your walk round the garden this August.
Wire and willow
In addition to David’s beautiful copper plants, the ever popular Chris Moss sculptures will be back in the garden, her wire animals looking perfectly at home here.To coincide with the exhibition she is running a Making Small Wire Birds course on the 15th August – there are still limited spaces available.
Unfortunately the scheduled wire artist has had to pull out, so we are very grateful to Alice Wilson who ran this year’s popular willow weaving workshop for stepping in and bringing along some of her creations.
The Willow, Wire and Copper Exhibition will be in the garden here throughout August – we are open 13:00 to 17:00 every Wednesday and Friday plus Saturday 1st, Sunday 2nd, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th. Normal admission price applies.
Also in August there will be an Art in the Cafe exhibition by Ebor Ruggers, who will also be demonstrating their craft on the 1st August.
