We are delighted to welcome Rosie Scott-Massie as the guest artist in the May Art in the Cafe Art Exhibition.
This is the first time Rosie has exhibited here at Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens, so we are really looking forward to getting visitor’s responses. She may be familiar to some of you as she has just had a very busy two weekends exhibiting in the York Open Studios.
Paper Cut Collages
As you can see from the images below, Rosie’s art is unusual in that she makes art works from paper cut maps. She is a full-time artist and her work has developed over time into large-scale papercut map collages and linocuts. However her initial inspirations are still the same; travel, adventure and the use of recycled materials which are not normally recognised for their decorative qualities.
The art exhibition is looking stunning in the Cafe and will be on display until the 31st May.
It is open during normal garden opening times and is included in the admission price for the garden.
