We are delighted to be welcoming the Ebor Ruggers to the garden on the 1st August, when they will be having a summer get together in the morning and then staying all afternoon for a rag rugging demonstration. Visitors to the garden will be able to see how rag rugging has become an art form, inspired by the natural world.
Incorporating a variety of textures from recycled fabrics, the Ebor Ruggers create beautiful, colourful rugs and wall hangings. During the demonstration the Ruggers will be delighted to show you how to prod and hook a rug and introduce you to a new skill.
If you can’t make it on the 1st August, don’t worry, there will be an exhibition of the Ebor Ruggers work in the cafe throughout August. Here is a little taster of the amazing art work you will see both at the rag rugging demonstration and in the exhibition.
