For the last four summer’s Chris Moss has exhibited her beautiful wire animal sculptures in the garden and has delighted visitors to the garden. To accompany her exhibition Chris has run a sell out workshop to make small birds.
We are delighted that in August 2017 Chris will be returning to exhibit her sculptures and run a half-day workshop to make a wire fantail pigeon. In addition she is running a new full day workshop in May where participants will learn how to make either a wire hen or duck.

Saturday 19th August – Making a Wire Fantail Pigeon with Chris Moss
Back by popular demand!
Chris Moss will be leading this wire sculpture course where you will learn how to make a wire fantail pigeon to take home. These sculptures will be made from galvanised wire, so they will be able to be kept outside without going rusty. Materials and tools will be supplied. Please wear practical clothes (no delicate textiles).
Places are limited, so early booking is recommended, choose from the morning or afternoon session
Morning Session – 10:00 to 12:00
Afternoon Session – 13:30 to 15:30
Chris uses both new and recycled metal materials to create her sculptures that are mainly of wild and domestic animals and birds. Each of her works are an original study of anatomy and behaviour and she gives a sense of life and energy to her subjects, ranging from small birds to life-size dogs and horses. This is the approach she will be sharing with course participants.
