Thursday 16th May – Creative Digital Photography
We are delighted that John Potter is back again this year with his creative photography course.
This is an intermediate photography course, aimed at people who have some photographic experience but want to improve their knowledge and skill.
It is led by renowned landscape and fine art photographer, John Potter B.Ed. (HONS) L.R.P.S. He will give you a grounding in the principles of digital photography and help you create imaginative high quality floral photographs in a variety of settings, both table top arrangements and outside in the garden.
Some time will be allocated to using Photoshop Elements and Adobe Photoshop CC to edit and enhance your photographs transforming them from snapshots into exhibition quality images. This will include new techniques such as camera multiple exposure as shown in the image above.
Please bring your own digital camera (SLR preferred but bridge cameras also will be fine) plus the camera manual, if you have it, and ensure your memory card is empty and the camera battery is fully charged. Bring a tripod if you have one and any additional equipment such as filters, lens hoods etc.
Please note: simple small point and shoot digital cameras with few controls are not suitable for this course.
The course cost includes hand outs and coffee and biscuits, but please bring a packed lunch.
Places are limited to 6 people, so early booking is recommended.
