Hello, I’m Helen Naylor the artist behind Pocket Wren. I am a British illustrator based in Bolton, Lancashire. Since graduating with a degree in Art and Design I have worked as a freelance illustrator, predominantly within the children’s book market. Pocket Wren is my chance to do something a little more grown up!
I love to draw and create beautiful things. As far back as I can remember art has always been an important part of my life.
I grew up in Yorkshire with the Dales on my doorstep, but have since made the controversial move across the Pennines to Lancashire. Both counties have spoilt me with their wonderful outside spaces and varied landscapes, which I regularly explore with the dog. My love of the outdoors has influenced my work significantly. Nature and wildlife are my favourite subjects.
Pocket Wren is the new home where all my creations can come together. All the work for Pocket Wren is created with love by myself. Welcome to my world!
